Skincare timeline for age group 2-5
Parents or adults are responsible for caring for the children in this age group. How regularly or irregularly the job is done will affect the child. Children tend to form habits base on what they see, learn, touch, hear, taste, and feel. If you constantly care for your kid’s skin at this age, he or she may form that habit and continue with it.

While it is a fact that you do most of their body care routines, consciously teach them how to do it too – train them to brush their teeth, wash their face, apply skincare products for kids their age, and so forth.

At the age of 2-5 years, kids will object to many things you do for them, but keep at it, introduce fun in activities like bathing them. The objective is to get their attention and make them more receptive.

Use children-compliant hair and body wash, with gentle lotion for their skin.

6 to 9 years
At this age, kids are slightly independent and at school. Apart from their parents, other people influence them, and they realize they can start making decisions. This age group is the best time to emphasize developing an excellent skincare routine. The habit they form at this age will most likely stick to them until their adulthood; therefore, consistency is vital at this stage of their lives.

The age group is a perfect period to launch skincare habits for the face. Start with facial washing using mild soap, lukewarm water, and a gentle cleanser ideal for children their age.

Do not forget mild toner for stabilizing their PH level. Lavender, chamomile toner, or soothing skin toner will do.

10 to 13 years
10 to 13 years is a fun and exciting age for children and their parents. They are self-reliant here and have started to experience peer group pressure. Teach them a balanced diet for skincare, and introduce them to skincare product routine for teens.

14-20 years
At this age group and beyond, caring for the skin is vital. Children in this group develop problematic skin, but a good stable diet plus an excellent skincare routine will take care of it. Follow skincare routine for under 20 years, and it should include facial cleansing, moisturizing, exfoliating, sunscreen, etc.

Kids should start learning the best skin routine for their age, as it will help them grow into the habit of caring for their skin when they get older.
