What facial cleanser to use on dry or mature skin?

Milk, foams, gels, soaps, waters, … Discover which is the ideal product for daily cleaning of each type of skin. Skin cleansing is an essential beauty ritual, whether we put on makeup or not because it prevents premature ageing of the skin, as well as the appearance of problems such as spots, blackheads or pimples. In general, the ideal is to clean our face twice a day, morning and night, both to remove impurities and makeup, and to remove excess sebum, in the case of oily skin.

So what is the ideal cleanser for dry or mature skin types? Let’s see which ones are best suited to the needs of each skin type:

Dry or mature skin

Cleansing products with moisturising elements are required for certain skin types (oatmeal, almond oil, shea butter, olive oil, cranberry seed oil, sunflower seed oil,  etc.). In other words, they keep the skin’s moisture film intact.

Cleansing-milk

How to use: Applying cleansing milk to the face should be done with a cotton ball and in circular motions. Repeat the steps to remove the makeup entirely after removing the surface makeup.

Cleaning milks are effective at removing all types of makeup from the face, including lipstick, foundation, blush, and eyeshadow.

Syndet soap

The syndet are synthetic surfactants (from the English synthetic detergent), they do not come from fats or oils. Their pH is lower than that of soaps. They are sometimes called “soapless soap.”

The behavior of syndets on the skin depends on their chemical structure . They can be more or less aggressive, more or less effective in terms of cleaning or they can produce more or less foam depending on whether they are anionic, amphoteric or non-ionic.

You should also know how dry skin can benefit from the usage of hot water and micellar water. For cleaning, especially when they don’t want to apply makeup and just want to eliminate pollutants and rejuvenate their skin.

Tip: if you have dry skin, wash your skin with cold water to promote its natural hydration.
