SKIN CARE

THE RIGHT SCRUB FOR EVERY SKIN TYPE

The skin is our largest (sensory) organ. It is constantly regenerating itself, forming new cells and shedding old ones. This process slows down over time – but with suitable peeling, you can gently boost the regeneration process! Find out about the different peeling methods and modes of action and find out which peeling is best suited to your skin type.

WHAT IS A SCRUB?

Exfoliation removes dead skin cells from the skin. These lie on the skin’s surface as tiny, detached horny scales. They can make the complexion appear tired and sallow and even promote blemishes or skin irritation. With a peeling, the skin is gently cleansed, refreshed and also optimally prepared for subsequent care products because Skincare products are absorbed much better by the peeled skin.

HOW DOES A PEEL WORK?

With a peeling, the uppermost, loose layer of horny scales of the skin is removed through various modes of action. If peeling is used regularly, the complexion is noticeably and visibly refined: a sallow complexion and impurities that can arise from dead skin cells are prevented. Exfoliate regularly, and you will be rewarded with a fresh, radiant appearance and a natural glow from your skin.

However, peeling is not just peeling and not every peeling is suitable for every skin type.

WHAT TYPES OF PEELING ARE THERE?

A distinction is made between different types of peeling, which have other effects and thus also consider the requirements of different skin types.

  • Granulate  peeling – the finest grinding particles in the peeling use mechanical friction to remove dead skin cells from the skin’s surface
  • Enzyme peeling  – An enzyme complex specially tailored to different skin needs gently removes the top dead layer of skin
  • Fruit acid peeling  – so-called alpha-hydroxy acids dissolve dead skin cells (e.g. glycolic acid, lactic or citric acid), and skin cell renewal is stimulated

WHICH PEELING IS SUITABLE FOR WHICH SKIN TYPE?

Sensitive skin can also be peeled, but you should be careful not to stress your skin with aggressive products unnecessarily. A gentle granulate peeling or an enzyme peeling is ideal, as they remove the top layer of skin very gently. After the peeling, a care cream tailored to the needs of sensitive skin comes just in time, which moisturises and soothes your skin

PEELINGS FOR SENSITIVE SKIN

A granulate or enzyme peeling is recommended for peeling dry skin, as fruit acid peeling could dry out the skin unnecessarily. After the peeling, a rich care cream gives dry skin everything it needs to look radiantly fresh.

EXFOLIATION FOR DRY SKIN

Tired skin is relieved with a fruit acid peeling, visibly refreshed and gaining new radiance. A rich day cream optimally supplies the skin with missing nutrients after the peeling. Creams enriched with a vitamin C complex helps tired skin repair damage caused by environmental pollution or stress in a particularly effective way.

PEELINGS FOR TIRED SKIN

Oily skin can breathe a sigh of relief with a fruit acid peeling because it removes dead skin cells and makes the skin particularly receptive to subsequent products. For minor inflammations, enzyme peeling is the gentler choice because it removes dead skin cells without further stressing the already irritated skin. After the peeling, day cream for oily skin helps normalise sebum production.

WHY IS IT USEFUL TO USE A PEELING REGULARLY?

With regular use of a peeling tailored to your skin type, the pores are refined, wrinkles are reduced, and the complexion appears more even. Rid your skin of environmental pollution and natural metabolites and let it glow by making exfoliation part of your regular skincare routine.
